Continue open discussion on our experiences of inequality and bias, and learn how we can improve our understanding collectively by engaging in these discussions. Choose one or two action items to champion. One wonderful business leader is championing having black literature writers introduced in school curriculums at all levels and starting in her City and State, and others have joined the initiative, be it funding, advocacy, identification of the writers, etc. Another, is to choose an initiative : access to clean drinking water- and we engage passion and interest around that initiative.
Focus on how to revive the ERA in the United States; workshop on understanding issues for women of color in the business environment and how we all can support each other better
We need to raise money that would help our community address one of the key obstacles to eliminating systemic racism. Has to start with public school funding.

Educating women on relevant content so they can advance themselves
Panels of state representatives (not legislative) related to the topic
I appreciate what we are currently doing - having calls, breaking into groups and discussing issues so that we can become more knowledgeable before "deciding what to do"
Mentorship opportunities for women of color. Organizing an investment pool for businesses owned by women of color Training on practices for hiring, promoting and retaining diverse workforce
I support the Courageous Conversations about racism sessions we have had and believe they are a good first step in us getting to know one another on a deeper level.
Not sure if there is a strategic plan in place for IWF, but i think a good initiative would be to build out one that includes strategic pillars, brand promise, value propositions, and goals or initiatives that support those. Some initiatives or goals might include a diverse membership including race, ethnicity, LGBTQ, age, regionally, industries etc... Develop a BHAG that everyone can rally and get behind. One goal that all can support.
Ensure that our board is racially, geographically, and age diverse
The conversations on racism is a start. Also, how to have real conversations verses "politically correct" conversations where we all actively listen to one another.
I don't know, but think we should focus on this and figure it out.
Settle on an issue -- big or more focused and become a long term force to make changes. For example, a more targeted issue is Women in Sports -- tremendous disparities -- get behind Jocelyn Benson's leadership to move the needle over the next 5 years. Alternatively -- probably the biggest issue is Pay Equity -- mobilize the power and force of IWF women to influence corporations and communities to start enforcing pay equity. Do NOT start supporting or choosing a non-profit to become volunteers or mentors. It will alienate all the organizations we didn't choose. IWF members are already engaged and generous with their time and money for causes they believe in. IWF should lead on an issue that matters to the majority of us (nothing will appeal to everyone).
We have great experience in our group. It would be great to put that to good use through supporting groups that help women.
Supporting voting rights and access in this year’s elections
Continue the discussion and develop concrete goals we can achieve as a group
Need more time to think about this.
Consider looking at the differences in gaining leadership for women of color around the world. There may be lessons from one country that could help others. Also in the US breakdown the added difference and potential solutions for Black women
Speakers who have led/participated with proven track records in addressing gender and racial inequalities, member conversations, unconscious bias education sessions
I am all in on initiatives to address gender and racial equality. I will think about what specific ideas I can offer.
Assist our members to get on paid board. Invest in women
Continue promoting opportunities to form relationships.
Less interested in new initiatives; more interested in doing something about the problems we already have identified
Make these a criteria for membership
Guided conversations led by experts in the field of gender and racial equality. Discussions or presentations surrounding the history of gender and or racial (in)equality issues - how did we get to where we are? Voter registration/ political empowerment. What can we do sessions - guided conversations relative to action oriented activities that deliver either personal or group related "to do's". Discussions about current bills, laws, that need our support, how can we get involved in the legislative narrative. Hearing from women who are thought leaders or experts in the areas of gender and racial equality. Opportunities to cross pollinate with chapters in other cities - how can we leverage our collective power and voice to create change AND/OR what is happening in other chapters so we can learn about positive change in other cities.
Bring in speakers with expertise in those areas.
Go deeper on the last anti-racist session - more discussion on what we can do
